Welcome to the official beginning of autumn! Alright, it doesn't really start until Sunday, but there is no harm in starting this party a little early. The colors of fall never last long enough anyway. Better get'em while they're hot.
We had some frost last night and while the day time temps can still rival summer, the corner has been turned. The Mad River Valley's high ridgelines commonly see their first snow by the middle of October, only a few weeks from now. Snowmaking isn't very far behind and projected winter opening day is November 17th.
But we are getting ahead of ourselves. Fall fun is about to peak!
Splashes of fall on the hillsides.
The slanted sunshine of autumn lights the hills and mountains in a warm glow, the foliage hues and sky blues sparkle from the ground up, and the best golf, hiking, riding and lift rides of the year kick into gear. If you can't make it for a visit in the next two weeks, be sure to join us for Community Day on October 6th. This date is usually ideal to hit the middle of autumn's apex.

The 17th Annual Mad Dash was a big success!

5K winner.

The most mature racer (mid-80's). He and his wife have done every Dash since the beginning of the event!

Blueberry Lake is a great place to enjoy the splendors of fall. Come enjoy the new trails and help us build more!

The Mad River Riders are moving mountains this season, one stone at a time.
Come enjoy fall's finest with us soon. If you wait too long, it'll be winter before you know it.
