In case you missed it, we got some snow late last week. May flakes are not very rare in the mountains, but the overlap of green below and white above always yields a little extra joy.
Looking back, it is odd to think that we got more snow in the first two weeks of May than in the last two weeks of March. Although why review old anomalies, when we've got fresh fun?
May snow again. You never know.
Many thanks to everyone who raced and volunteered at the Mad Triathlon last Saturday. We scored a perfect weather day, everyone had a great time and we raised funds for the Mad River Path! Next up? The Mad Marathon!

After a too long six month wait, the best farmer's market in Vermont reopens this weekend. That's right, the famous Waitsfield Farmer's Market kicks off the summer season on Saturday, with all the old favorites and some new vendors too.
Where else can you get the tastiest fresh organic meats and veggies, garden starter plants, beautiful bouquets, buckets of this year's maple syrup, arts and crafts galore and a Juniper's Fare chicken club and fries? All with a healthy dose of friends and community? The answer is obvious.

See you at the Waitsfield Farmer's Market!
The Valley Walk and Roll Festival continues this week, with lots of fun events. Everyone is invited to join us for a beginner/ intermediate mountain bike clinic on Saturday at 1pm. We will meet at the entrance to Farmer's Market. Dial in your skills now and enjoy a better summer of riding!

Join us for the US Grand Prix of Mountain Biking and Solstice Brew Festival on June 16th, 2012!
While snow is never far from our minds, prime time warm weather fun starts now. Better be here. We hope to see you soon!
