With a return to cooler temps and even a bit of accumulation this week, we did not lose really any coverage on the mountain. Due to this snow-preserving weather, Valley House will be spinning this Saturday and potentially Sunday too. Sunday's Easter festivities are definitely on, but the lift may not be. The call will be made Saturday afternoon.
Spanning seasons in the Mad River Valley.
While nobody wants to see the lift-served skiing and riding end this early, we have made it very close to our autumn-announced projected closing of April 15th. We are good at making lemonade too and the weird spring weather has provided an opportunity for a Sugarbush triple play this weekend.
That's right, the Sugarbush Golf Club's front 9 is open, many of the Mad River Riders' bike trails are dry (the road biking is getting good too) and we'll have Stein's one more time. Heck, if you wanted, you could add hiking, tennis and swimming, making it a six-pack adventure day!

We start fun and learning early.

Moxie Metal Mayhem was great last weekend!
Even if this is the conclusion of the lift-served season, the fun clearly doesn't end when the lifts stop.
Be sure to join us on May 12th for the newly evolved Mad Triathlon, with a really cool updated course. Part of the changes are moving to Lincoln Peak for the start and finish, and the Kid's Triathlon will be run near the end of the adult one. If you are a competitor, the spectator opportunities should be great!
Remember, summer mountain operations kick off on June 16th and golf course should be open from now through the fall.
Before we get too far ahead though, Stein's is calling your name. November is a long time to wait for your next ski or board turns. We hope to see you soon!
