We had a decent day and night of snowmaking. The base area has warmed up this morning but we are still able to keep the guns going up high and tonight looks good for snowmaking. However, tomorrow the cover will be thin in spots and hard snow will be mixed-in in some areas until we have more snow so that we can groom. Conditions will be for experts only. We will be making snow on the trails that are open for skiing tomorrow. It will be a day for diehards, so I will look forward to seeing some of you in the AM.
Tomorrow we will ski and ride on Upper Jester, Allyn's Traverse and Downspout with downloading on Bravo -- just like Thanksgiving weekend. Then our snowmaking will aggressively move down the mountain if temperatures permit or we will focus on Upper Organgrinder and Ripcord if temperatures only work for snowmaking up high. We might get a dusting of snow tonight but nothing significant.
Now next week looks interesting. Moisture is coming in. If the cold front moves a bit further east than some of the models are predicting, we could be in for some snow early in the week and we could also be in for some lasting snowmaking temperatures.
Bravo spins tomorrow at 9:00 AM with the last lift up Bravo at 2:45 PM and the last lift up Heaven's Gate at 3:15 PM. Allyn's Lodge will be open for F&B as well as the Gate House cafeteria and Castlerock Pub. Timbers will be open for breakfast and dinner.
Keep thinking COLD!
