Meet the Coaches

Emily Pogo
Emily Pogozelski
Emily Pogozelski joined Sugarbush during the 22-23 season, bringing with her an inspiring story of perseverance and passion. Emily didn’t grow up skiing—she learned at the age of 39, thanks to her friend and fellow instructor Michael Tallman. What began as a casual introduction to the sport quickly became life changing.

Michael’s encouragement (and the sage advice: “You just need to be better than the four-year-olds”) led Emily to join the Ski & Ride team. From there, she embraced every training opportunity, logging an incredible 143 days on snow last year.

Emily is excited to teach skiers of all levels, but her heart is especially drawn to helping women overcome fears, come back from injuries, or break through mental roadblocks. Whether it’s their first time on skis or they’re rediscovering their love for the sport, Emily’s goal is to help her students build confidence and fall in love with skiing—just like she did.
