Chef Kevin Garden
Chef Kevin Garden's love of cooking began at 14 years old as a boy scout “camp cooking” in the beautiful mountains of Idaho. Throughout his teen years he pursued his culinary interests in a variety of restaurants jobs, continuing that pursuit through college at Seattle University. Kevin began his resort experience at Red Horse Mountain Ranch, an equestrian resort in North Idaho, where he learned about true Pacific Northwest cuisine and curated locally inspired menus with beef, fish, and game. Kevin expanded his resort experience at Beaver Creek in Colorado and Tamarack in Idaho, where he took on leadership roles. Prior to joining the culinary team as Executive Mountain and Banquet Chef at Sugarbush Resort, he also worked as Club Chef at Rancho de Los Cabelleros, a Wickenburg, AZ dude ranch and golf club where cowboy barbeque reigned supreme big. Kevin's life-long enjoyment of golf, disc-golf and a passion for motorcycling on 2-lane country roads led him and his wife to settle here in Vermont, where he continues his passion for excellent food service, working with and mentoring his team, and satisfying our many guest.
