First Timer Lesson Programs
Once you get the feel for sliding on snow, you'll be hooked.

To help you discover the joy we all can find in skiing and riding, we offer our award-winning First Timer to Life Timer program.
The program includes:
- A series of three 2-hour group lessons to take you from fitting and getting comfortable with the equipment, to sliding on snow for the first time, to making your first turns and using lifts!
- Rental of specially designed beginner equipment and helmet
- Lift access in our beginner areas during the first lesson
- Upgraded lift access for the following lessons
Details
- 1st Timer packages include lift ticket, rental equipment, and snow sports helmet.
- Two-hour lessons available at Lincoln Peak daily at 10am, and at 1pm on weekends and holidays
- Check in at the Ski & Ride School Desk on the second floor of The Farmhouse building at Lincoln Peak
- Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes early the first day to pick up rental equipment before the lesson starts.
Know Before You Go
- All Ski & Ride School participants under the age of 13 are required to wear a properly fitted and fastened winter sports helmet. Helmets are recommended for all ages and are included in rental package but feel free to bring your own if preferred.
- Participants may use terrain features and jumps while skiing and riding in a lesson.
- Wear water resistant snow pants and jacket suitable to weather and temperature, one pair of socks (polyester or ski designed socks), active-wear long underwear, gloves or mittens (mittens better when cold), goggles or sunglasses, hat (if not wearing a helmet), neck gaiter or face mask, and sunscreen
- Wearing anything cotton is NOT A GOOD IDEA
- Get a good night’s sleep, and eat a hearty breakfast
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made prior to 72 hours of the start date will receive a refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee per order.
- Cancellations made within 72 hours are non-refundable
- There is no fee to change (reschedule) lessons prior to 72 hours of lesson start date
- Changes made within 72 hours and at least by 4pm the day prior to lesson date will be charged a $50 rebooking fee per lesson
- Day of changes are not permitted
- If the resort is open for skiing/riding there are no refunds or cancellations due to weather, please plan accordingly.
