Make It a Night to Remember: Private Evenings at Walt’s at Mt Ellen
Rent Walt’s at the Glen House for a private evening event. Whether your group is celebrating a special event or up for a night ski and/or cabin cat ride, this night is will be one to remember.

Guests have three options for transportation:

1. The more adventurous crew can skin/hike up to Walt's on their own.
2. Others may hop the last chair of the Green Mountain Express by 4:00 pm to get a direct lift right up to Walt’s.*
3. Those who prefer a more, ahhh…civilized form of transportation can jump a ride in our 12-passenger heated cabin cat. This option includes transportation to and from the base area to Walt’s as well as a trip to the summit of Mt. Ellen. **

Once the group is at Walt's, you have the place to yourself. Grab a drink, order snacks or dinner and take in the mountain views. The 12 folks from the group who purchased the cabin cat option can take a starlight tour to the summit of Mt. Ellen. When the festivities wind down, guests may ski/ride back to the base area with a Ski Patroller or jump into the heated cabin cat depending on the option selected.

The evening typically lasts from 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM.

Skiing/riding down in the quiet of the night heightens the senses, providing an experience many guests return for again and again. Don’t forget to bring your headlamps. Skiing/riding down is weather dependent and for advanced skiers and riders only who are 14 years and older.

Rent Walt's is available from December 21 to March 30th, 2025, on any non-Saturday date. Group maximum capacity is 40 guests and must be booked in advance.

Cost is $800 for the private event along with a minimum food & beverage tab.

* $35 lift tickets available for guests who don’t have a day lift ticket or season pass.
** The 12-person heated cabin cat option may be added for $500. It includes one scheduled departure from the base area, one loop to the summit from Walt’s, and one return trip to the base area after the conclusion of the evening at Walt’s. No other trips are available. Limited to 12 people.
